What to Do When a Binance Withdrawal Fails

A failed withdrawal can be very stressful, but don't worry too much — most situations can be resolved. Register a Binance account to experience secure withdrawal services, and don't forget to get the Binance APP for easier troubleshooting.

Common Reasons for Withdrawal Failure

Reason 1: Security verification not passed

Withdrawals require multi-factor security verification including email code, SMS code, and Google Authenticator code. If any one is entered incorrectly or times out, the withdrawal fails. The solution is to retry the withdrawal and ensure all verification codes are entered quickly within their validity period.

Reason 2: Incorrect withdrawal address format

Each cryptocurrency has a specific address format. If you enter an incorrectly formatted address, the system will reject the withdrawal. For example, entering an Ethereum address in the Bitcoin withdrawal field will cause an error. The solution is to carefully verify the address — preferably copy-paste rather than type manually.

Reason 3: Network mismatch

The network selected for withdrawal must match the receiving end's supported network. If you chose ERC20 but the recipient only supports TRC20, the withdrawal may fail or funds may be lost. Always confirm the recipient's address network type, then select the same network on Binance.

Reason 4: Insufficient balance

Your account balance must cover both the withdrawal amount and the fee. If there isn't enough to pay the fee, the withdrawal fails. For example, with 100 USDT in your account, trying to withdraw 100 USDT but also needing 1 USDT in fees means insufficient balance.

Reason 5: Risk control triggered

If you recently changed your account password, switched your registered phone number, or disabled a security authenticator, Binance temporarily restricts withdrawal functionality — usually for 24-72 hours. This is for account protection. Wait for the security freeze to expire, then try again.

Troubleshooting Steps

Step 1: Check the withdrawal record. Open the Binance APP, go to "Wallet" > "Transaction History" > "Withdrawals," find the failed order, and check the failure reason shown by the system. This message usually tells you exactly what went wrong.

Step 2: Check your account status. Confirm your KYC verification is valid, security settings are normal, and you're not in a security freeze period. If the account status is abnormal, resolve account issues first.

Step 3: Verify withdrawal information. Re-check the withdrawal address, network type, amount, and fees. If the address was copied previously, try getting a fresh address from the recipient.

Step 4: Check network conditions. Sometimes blockchain congestion or maintenance prevents withdrawals temporarily. Check Binance's announcement board for any relevant maintenance notices.

Handling Special Cases

If a withdrawal shows "Processing" beyond normal timeframes (generally over 6 hours), first check the transaction hash. If there's a hash, it means the transaction has been broadcast to the blockchain and just hasn't been confirmed yet. If there's no hash, it may be stuck in Binance's internal processing — contact support at this point.

If withdrawn crypto "disappears" — neither arriving at the destination nor showing as returned on Binance — you may have selected the wrong network, sending funds to an address you don't control. In this case, contact the receiving platform's support for recovery assistance.

Contacting Binance Support

If self-troubleshooting doesn't resolve the issue, submit a ticket through the Binance APP's online support. Provide your withdrawal order number, transaction hash (if available), screenshots, and a clear problem description. Binance support typically responds within 24 hours; complex issues may take longer.
