How to Transfer Crypto from Binance to Other Exchanges

2026-03-26 · 8 min read

Sometimes you need to transfer crypto from Binance to other exchanges like OKX or Bybit. Register a Binance account to start managing your digital assets, and remember to get the Binance APP for easier cross-platform transfers.

Basic Principle of Cross-Exchange Transfers

Transfers between exchanges are essentially on-chain withdrawals. You withdraw from Binance to the deposit address assigned by the target exchange. After blockchain confirmations, the funds arrive in your account on the target exchange. The entire process is the same as sending crypto to any wallet address.

Preparation Before Transferring

First, you need to obtain the deposit address from the target exchange. Log into the target exchange, find the "Deposit" function, select the token you want to transfer, then select the network. The system will generate a dedicated deposit address — some tokens also have an additional Tag (Memo/Tag), so pay attention.

Then confirm both platforms support the same network. For example, when transferring USDT, Binance supports ERC20, TRC20, BEP20, and more, but the target exchange may only support some of these. Always choose a network supported by both sides, or funds may be lost.

Detailed Transfer Steps

Step 1: Copy the target exchange's deposit address

On the target exchange's deposit page, select the token and network, then copy the generated address. If there's a Memo or Tag, copy that too. Strongly recommend using the copy function rather than manual transcription.

Step 2: Initiate withdrawal on Binance

Open the Binance APP and go to "Wallet" > "Withdraw" > select the token you want to transfer. Paste the target address, select the same network as the target exchange, and enter the transfer amount. If a Memo or Tag is required, don't forget it.

Step 3: Confirm information and complete verification

Carefully check the address, network, amount, and all other details. After confirming, submit and complete email, SMS, and Google Authenticator triple verification.

Step 4: Wait for arrival

After submission, check progress in Binance's withdrawal history. It will typically show "Processing" first, then change to "Completed." Simultaneously check the deposit history on the target exchange for the incoming transaction status.

Choosing the Right Transfer Network

Different networks vary significantly in speed and cost. The TRC20 network is fast with low fees — USDT transfers usually cost around 1 USDT and arrive in minutes. BEP20 (BSC network) is similarly fast and cheap, suitable for BNB and BSC tokens. ERC20 has higher fees but the best compatibility — almost all exchanges support it.

The principle when choosing a network: from the options supported by both sides, prioritize the one with the lowest fees and fastest speed.

Common Considerations

Some tokens require a Memo or Tag when transferring, such as XRP and EOS. If you forget or enter it incorrectly, funds may not be credited properly and the recovery process can be very difficult.

For first-time transfers to a new address, send a small test amount first. After confirming the small amount arrives, proceed with the larger transfer. While this means paying an extra fee, it's the safest approach.

Don't close the APP or clear cache during the transfer — wait until the transaction is confirmed. If funds haven't arrived after an extended period, use the transaction hash to check confirmation progress on a blockchain explorer.
