Can't remember your Binance login password? Don't worry — this is extremely common. Binance has a robust password reset system, and as long as your email or phone number still works, you can set a new password in minutes.

Reset via Email
This is the most common method, for those who can access their registered email.
Steps
- Open the Binance website or app login page
- Enter your registered email
- Click "Forgot Password?"
- System sends a password reset email to your inbox
- Open the email from Binance (check spam folder)
- Click the "Reset Password" link
- Enter your new password on the new page
- Confirm the new password
- Enter 2FA code if enabled
- Click confirm to complete the reset
Notes
- Reset links typically expire within 15–30 minutes — request a new one if expired
- Emails may be caught by spam filters — check your spam folder
- Ensure you're clicking a link from a genuine Binance email — verify the sender's address
- If you've set an anti-phishing code, confirm it's in the email
Reset via Phone Number
If your account has a linked phone number:
- Select "Phone Login" on the login page
- Click "Forgot Password"
- Enter your linked phone number
- System sends a verification code to your phone
- Enter the code
- Set a new password
- Complete
New Password Requirements
Binance requires certain password strength:
- At least 8 characters (12+ recommended)
- Must include at least one uppercase letter
- Must include at least one lowercase letter
- Must include at least one number
- Special characters recommended (!@#$%, etc.)
- Cannot match recently used passwords
Good Password Standards
- Don't use birthdays, names, phone numbers, or other personal info
- Don't use common words or number combinations
- Don't reuse passwords from other websites
- Consider using a password manager (1Password, Bitwarden) to generate and store passwords
Security Restrictions After Reset
After a successful password reset, your account enters a security cooling period:
- Withdrawals suspended: No crypto withdrawals for 24 hours after reset
- P2P trading restricted: May be temporarily unavailable
- Some features limited: Certain sensitive operations may be temporarily blocked
These restrictions prevent stolen accounts from being maliciously reset with funds transferred out.
Can't Receive Reset Email?
If you click "Forgot Password" but never receive the email:
- Check spam: Email may have been auto-filtered
- Wait a few minutes: Email delivery can be delayed
- Verify the email address: Confirm it's your registration email
- Resend: Click "Resend" and try again
- Check mailbox capacity: Full inbox may not receive new mail
- Try another method: Use phone number reset instead
Can't Access Email or Phone
If neither your registered email nor linked phone is accessible, you'll need customer support:
- Visit Binance's Help Center
- Submit a "Can't Log In" ticket
- Provide account information and identity proof
- Wait for review (typically 3–7 business days)
Materials needed:
- Registration email address
- Account UID (if remembered)
- ID document used for KYC
- Screenshots of recent deposits or trades (to prove ownership)
Preventing Future Password Loss
Use a Password Manager
Recommended professional password managers:
- Bitwarden: Free, open-source, cross-platform
- 1Password: Feature-rich, great UX
- KeePass: Offline storage, maximum security
Create Memorable Strong Passwords
Use the "passphrase" method: combine several unrelated words, like "Coffee!Mountain#42River" — easy to remember yet strong enough.
Regular Updates
Change your Binance password every 3–6 months for both security and memorability.
Forgetting a password is perfectly normal, and Binance's reset process is mature. As long as your registered email or phone works, recovery takes just minutes. After resetting, use a password manager to avoid forgetting again.
