The Binance APP offers two interface modes — "Lite" and "Pro" — suited for different experience levels. After registering a Binance account and getting the Binance APP, you can freely switch between them.
Lite Mode
Lite mode is designed specifically for beginners and casual users, with a clean and simple interface that keeps only the core features:
Simplified home screen. Shows only the main shortcut entries and a simple market overview. No complex dashboards or event promotions to distract you.
One-tap buy/sell. Buying and selling are simplified to the extreme: select a token → enter an amount → confirm purchase. No need to understand market orders or limit orders — the system automatically executes at market price.
Simple market display. Price changes are easy to see at a glance, without complex candlestick charts or technical indicators. Sufficient for users who just want a quick market overview.
Basic asset management. View your holdings and total portfolio value, perform basic deposits and withdrawals.
Lite mode hides futures trading, advanced order types, technical analysis tools, and other complex features, preventing beginners from being overwhelmed by too much information.
Pro Mode
Pro mode is for experienced traders, offering the complete feature set:
Full trading interface. Supports market orders, limit orders, stop-loss/take-profit orders, OCO orders, and more. Precisely control your buy/sell prices and quantities.
Professional candlestick charts. Integrates TradingView charting tools with dozens of technical indicators (MA, MACD, RSI, Bollinger Bands, etc.) and drawing tools (trendlines, Fibonacci, etc.). Supports multiple timeframe switching.
Futures trading access. Use perpetual and delivery contracts for long and short positions with adjustable leverage.
Depth chart. Real-time display of buy/sell order depth distribution, helping you gauge the balance of buying and selling forces.
Advanced features. Including grid trading, strategy trading, copy trading, API settings, and other advanced tools.
Detailed asset management. View detailed balances and transaction records across different accounts (spot, futures, funding, etc.) and transfer between them.
How to Switch
Switching is very simple: Open the Binance APP → Tap the avatar in the top left → At the top of your profile, you'll see the Lite/Pro toggle → Tap to switch.
The switch takes effect immediately with no need to restart the APP. You can switch back and forth freely to find the mode that suits you best.
Which Mode Should You Choose
Choose Lite if you:
- Are new to crypto and unfamiliar with the concepts
- Just want to simply buy and hold some major tokens
- Don't need technical analysis or complex trades
- Feel overwhelmed by too many options and information
Choose Pro if you:
- Have some trading experience and market knowledge
- Need candlestick charts for technical analysis
- Want to use limit orders and other advanced order types
- Need futures trading or other advanced features
- Seek more precise trading control
Transitioning from Lite to Pro
If you're a beginner, we recommend transitioning at this pace:
Month 1: Use Lite mode, focusing on learning basic concepts and getting comfortable with buying and selling.
Months 2-3: Try switching to Pro mode, but primarily use basic features. Learn to read candlestick charts and understand different order types.
After 3 months: Gradually explore more Pro features, such as limit orders, stop-loss/take-profit, and technical indicators.
Don't rush it. While using Lite mode, focus on learning. Switch to Pro mode once you have sufficient knowledge to better utilize its tools.
Both modes share the same core trading features and assets — switching modes does not affect your account balance or transaction history.
