The desktop client's functionality is essentially the same as the web version, but with some unique advantages in performance and experience.
How to Download and Install
Visit Binance's official download page to find desktop client download links. Choose the version for your operating system:
Windows: Download the .exe installer, double-click to run, and follow the prompts to complete installation. A Binance shortcut icon will appear on your desktop after installation.
macOS: Download the .dmg package, open it, and drag the Binance icon to the Applications folder. You may need to allow it to run under "System Preferences → Security & Privacy" on first launch.
The installer is typically a few dozen to a hundred+ MB, so downloading and installing is quick.
Advantages of the Desktop Client
Better performance. Compared to the web version, the desktop client runs more efficiently. Candlestick chart loading is faster, real-time data updates are smoother, and the difference is especially noticeable when viewing multiple trading pairs simultaneously.
Independent operation. No browser dependency means no interference from browser extensions, cache issues, etc. You also won't lose your session by accidentally closing a browser tab.
System notifications. The desktop client can use native OS notification features, so you receive trading alerts and price notifications even while using other software.
Multi-monitor support. For traders with multiple displays, the desktop client can open multiple windows on different screens to simultaneously monitor multiple markets.
