Complete Guide for Mainland China Users to Use Binance

2026-03-27 · 9 min read

As a mainland China user, the complete process for using Binance differs slightly from other regions. This article walks you through every step from registration to trading. Register a Binance account to get started, then get the Binance APP installed on your phone.

Step 1: Network Preparation

Since Binance access may be restricted in mainland China, you need to prepare a network acceleration tool first. Choose a stable and reliable service provider to ensure smooth access to Binance's website and APP.

Choosing the right network tool is important. We recommend paid services with good reputations, as free tools are usually less stable. Network disconnection during critical operations like trading could lead to unnecessary losses.

Step 2: Register an Account

Enter the Binance registration page through the link provided by Yihang. We recommend registering with an international email like Gmail. Fill in your email address and password, receive and enter the verification code to complete registration. The entire process takes just a few minutes.

The referral code is automatically linked through the link, giving you trading fee discounts.

Step 3: Download the APP

Android users download the APK installation package from Binance's website and install it manually. During installation, you need to allow "Install from unknown sources" in your phone settings.

Apple users need an overseas Apple ID to search for and download Binance from the App Store. If you don't have an overseas Apple ID, tutorials for creating one can be found online.

Step 4: Identity Verification

Open the APP to complete KYC verification. Have your Chinese national ID card ready, then follow the prompts to photograph the front and back and complete facial recognition. Binance fully supports Chinese ID verification, and the process is similar to domestic platforms.

Verification review is usually fast, ranging from a few minutes to 24 hours. If verification fails, it is usually a photo quality issue — simply retake and resubmit.

Step 5: Security Settings

Complete the following in the Security Center: bind Google Authenticator, set up an anti-phishing code, and confirm that email and phone number are linked. These security measures effectively prevent account theft.

Special reminder: Be sure to save your Google Authenticator backup key. If you lose your phone or switch devices without the backup key, account recovery will be very difficult.

Step 6: Buy Crypto via C2C

This is the most critical step for mainland users. Open the APP → Tap "Buy Crypto" → Select "C2C/P2P" → Choose to buy USDT → Select payment method (Alipay/WeChat/bank card) → Enter purchase amount.

The system displays a list of available merchants. Select a verified merchant to place your order. Then follow the instructions to pay the merchant's account. Once the merchant confirms receipt, USDT will automatically transfer to your Binance account.

Key reminders:

  • Always choose verified merchants (those with blue badges)
  • Use a payment method registered under your real name
  • Do not write anything crypto-related in the transfer notes
  • Do not pay outside the designated time window
  • Always tap "Transferred, notify seller" on the Binance APP after paying

Step 7: Transfer Funds

USDT purchased via C2C arrives in your "Funding Account." To trade on the spot market, transfer USDT from the "Funding Account" to the "Spot Account."

How to do it: Open "Assets" → "Transfer" → Select from "Funding Account" to "Spot Account" → Enter the transfer amount → Confirm. Transfers are instant and free.

Step 8: Start Trading

Once funds reach your spot account, you can start trading. Search for the trading pair you want on the trading page, such as BTC/USDT, and place a market or limit order to buy.

Beginners should start with small amounts to familiarize themselves with the process. As you gain experience, gradually increase your investment amount and explore more products and features.

That covers the complete process for mainland China users to use Binance. While there are several steps, each one is straightforward — just follow them one by one.
