Is the Binance APP suddenly crashing or won't open? Don't worry — most cases can be fixed by yourself. First confirm you have registered a Binance account. If the APP truly cannot be fixed, you can re-download the latest version by getting the Binance APP.
Method 1: Restart the APP
The simplest fix is often the most effective. Fully close the Binance APP (not just minimize it — close it completely from the background), wait a few seconds, then reopen it.
Android: Swipe up from the bottom to enter the recent apps list, find Binance, and swipe it away to close. iPhone: Swipe up from the bottom and pause to enter the app switcher, find Binance, and swipe up to close.
Method 2: Restart Your Phone
If restarting the APP doesn't help, try restarting your phone. Sometimes a phone that has been running for a long time has its system resources maxed out. A restart releases memory and clears temporary files.
Long press the power button → Select "Restart" or "Power off and restart." After restarting, open the Binance APP to see if it works normally.
Method 3: Clear APP Cache
Over time, the APP accumulates cache data that can cause running issues.
Android: Settings → App Management → Find Binance → Storage → Clear Cache. Be careful to only clear "Cache," not "Data," or you'll need to log in again.
iPhone: iOS doesn't have a direct option to clear individual app caches. You can look for a clear cache option within the Binance APP settings. If the APP won't open, you can only uninstall and reinstall.
Method 4: Check Storage Space
Insufficient phone storage can also cause APP malfunctions. Check your remaining storage — if it's under 1GB, delete unnecessary photos, videos, or apps to free up space.
Android: Settings → Storage. iPhone: Settings → General → iPhone Storage.
Method 5: Update to the Latest Version
Using an outdated version may have known bugs that have been fixed in newer releases.
Android users can download the latest APK from the Binance website. Installing it will automatically overwrite the old version (data won't be lost). iPhone users should switch to an overseas Apple ID and update through the App Store.
Method 6: Check Network Environment
The Binance APP needs to connect to servers upon launch. If the network is not smooth, the APP may freeze or crash on startup.
Try the following:
- Switch between WiFi and mobile data to see which works
- Check if your network acceleration tool is working properly
- Try switching to a different node on your acceleration tool
Method 7: Uninstall and Reinstall
If none of the above works, uninstall the APP and reinstall it. Before reinstalling, make sure you remember your login credentials (email/phone and password) and have your Google Authenticator backup key.
Android: Long press the Binance icon → Uninstall → Download and install the APK again. iPhone: Long press the Binance icon → Remove App → Switch to an overseas Apple ID and re-download.
After reinstalling, log into your account. All your assets and transaction history are stored on the server and won't be lost by reinstalling the APP.
Method 8: Check System Compatibility
If your phone's OS is too old, it may not be compatible with the latest Binance APP. Check if your system version meets the minimum requirements:
- Android: Usually requires Android 6.0 or above
- iPhone: Usually requires iOS 13.0 or above
If your system version is too old, try upgrading your OS first.
Still Can't Fix It
If you've tried everything and the APP still won't work properly, you can temporarily use a web browser to access the Binance website for operations. Also contact Binance customer support with your phone model, OS version, and APP version — they can help investigate the specific cause.
